Are you overwhelmed with the Fall schedule? I know I am! I started back at school last week with all the darling kid’s at Maywood Middle School and somehow I never managed to get to the grocery store. Between real estating and lunch ladying life just got too crazy. Thank goodness for Homecooked Freezer Meals! This is my new favorite thing to tell you about. You don’t even need to go to the grocery because Terra Buelow, owner of HCFM does it all for you and it’s delicious!!
I spent under $50 during her Back to School special and she delivered Cheesy Chicken and Wild Rice Bake, Million Dollar Spaghetti and Homemade Mac n’ Cheese. Last night we cooked the Cheesy Chicken and Wild Rice and everyone had seconds. It’s full of chicken, carrots, celery and of course, cheese and rice. I can’t wait to test out the other casseroles.
Terra is a local Renton mom and prepares large batches of freezer meals in a commercial kitchen and freezes them fresh off the stove. The menu is seasonal and offers a variety of comfort food and healthy meals. Most ingredients are locally sourced and homemade. Casseroles are packaged in cute red foil pans and labeled with instructions. All you have to do is defrost, heat and eat!!!
I served the chicken casserole with a salad and bread. I ordered the medium and easily got 4 servings out of it. Since I have starving teenagers at home I was wondering if the medium would be enough. It definitely was. If I had added another veggie side dish we could have gotten 6 servings out of it.
If you missed Homecooked Freezer Meals Back to School special don’t worry. Terra is offering For the Love of Renton followers a 25% discount on orders placed until September 30! I will definitely be purchasing more casseroles before the end of the month. I’m stocking up for fall and winter months for those weeks that are just too hard to make it to the grocery.
