Home Decorating on the Peninsula

I recently discovered some great stores in the area that are now my “go-to” home stores. For furniture and larger accent pieces Eclectic Home Furnishings in Silverdale is awesome. The first time I went in I was just amazed. There are so many treasures. I wanted to go home and sell everything I own and start over. They have a huge collection of home decor including, tables, chairs, lamps, couches, desks…you name it, they probably have it. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They have very unique one of a kind items and you are allowed to take things home to make sure they work in your space. Ask them about their layaway program. Check out some of these beautiful pieces. I love the black and white desk, the turquoise light fixture and that adorable bunny.

Eclectic Home Furnishing is located right next door to Trader Joe’s in Silverdale: 9991 Mickelberry Road Northwest #102, Silverdale, WA 98383. They are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sunday.

Another favorite store is The Garden Room in Gig Harbor. I’m sure if you’ve lived here for a while you already know of this lovely store but being new to the area I just discovered this gem. I went in last week to find a birthday present and left with multiple gifts. I even started my Christmas shopping. I have been following them on Instagram and just knew I needed to go find this little boutique store. They are currently fully stocked for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Garden Room is locally owned and located in Gig Harbor: 4729 Point Fosdick Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. Definitely check them out. They are open Monday-Saturday, 10am-6pm and Sunday 12-5pm.

Last but definitely not least is the lovely Josephine’s Mercantile in downtown Port Orchard. This is one of those places where you can just go and get lost for hours. Josephine’s is an eclectic mix of new and old. The large building has multiple vintage vendors, a cafe and flower shop. I never spend less than an hour in this treasure chest.

My favorite thing to do is visit Farmer Rosie’s Cafe, located inside Josephine’s Mercantile, grab a delicious coffee and slowly make my way from booth to booth searching for the perfect item.

During one visit I found this old bell and new it was the perfect anniversary gift for Steve. We hung it just outside the front door and we proudly ring it for every Seahawks touchdown and to announce the beginning of Happy Hour on the deck.

Josephine’s is located at 701 Bay Street, Port Orchard. They are open Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sunday, 11am-5pm. If you are looking for unique one of a kind items this is your place.
