There’s nothing better than small town shopping. Supporting our local small businesses is good for everyone. Two awesome downtown Port Orchard shops are Josephine’s Mercantile and Gigi’s Emporium.

Josephine’s Mercantile is one of those places where you can just go and get lost for hours. Josephine’s is an eclectic mix of new and old. The large building has multiple vintage vendors, a cafe and flower shop. I never spend less than an hour in this treasure chest. During one visit I found this old bell and new it was the perfect anniversary gift for Steve. We hung it just outside the front door and we proudly ring it for every Seahawks touchdown and to announce the beginning of Happy Hour on the deck.

My favorite thing to do is visit Farmer Rosie’s Cafe, located inside Josephine’s, grab a delicious coffee and slowly make my way from booth to booth searching for the perfect item. BTW, Farmer Rosie’s peanut butter cookies are the best I’ve ever had and believe me I’ve tried many many many cookies! I’m very excited to get in and do my holiday shopping as I know I will find the perfect unique gifts for all my peeps.

Across the street from Josephine’s is the darling clothing shop Gigi’s Emporium. I was drawn to this cute store because their ever changing display windows are so fun. Gigi’s goal is “to provide our communities with quality merchandise with prices they can afford. Our motto is, never sell an item we aren’t willing to pay for ourselves. We value each and every customer and want you to become part of our family!”
